I was a little eerie of getting this since I had bad experience with cast iron earlier. But then I realized that I did not know how to take care of it and handle it. So this time, I studied how to take care of it and did just that. It is not all that difficult. It cooks faster and it does not take much time to clean also. I love it. It may be a little heavy to handle. Once I get old, this may be an issue:=))But until such time I highly recommend it. For those who are concerned with using lot of oil or butter, I do not recommend this. But just so you know, that is old school. Butter (organic) is actually healthy for you. Just my thought.

Great pan. I'm a lifelong fan of cast iron and the enameled exterior doesn't scratch my glass cooktop. Enameled interior is easy to clean.

I love this cast iron skillet. It’s way easier to clean and take care of than I thought it would be. I actually store mine on the bottom rack of my oven. It’s heavy but that is to be expected. Very happy with this purchase.

Some reason this cast iron is more difficult to season. 69 years and have seasoned many cast iron cooking items during my life. Food still sticks; slowly getting better. Nice size skillet and porcelain coating is nice.

I have tro say it arrived with a chipped finish in the red enamel handle. Probably from shipping. Amazon made an adjustment and I kept it because given tim I'll chip it too. The interior is a black enamel resembling Staub pans that I love. The interior finish is much rougher though. My solurtion was to take a piece of 2000 grit sandpaper which polishes things and run it lightly on the inside. So I used it. made bacon and eggs, seasoned it in the oven and it was still grabby with eggs so I sanded it lightly a second time. This time with Ghee and a thin metal spatula I could cook fragile sunny side up eggs without breaking them. At this point I know it will begin to take on a more advanced seasoning and become more nonstick over time as my older 10" pan of a similar consruction already has. A winner.

What a good buy, the cast iron is wonderful to cook with. The flavors are allowed to come out presenting a delicious well cooked food. We use it everyday and even bake food in the oven with it. I really thought I would not like this but I love it. It cooks better than my nonstick pans and there is no covering that flakes off. I tend to overheat pans then they warp this one does not warp. I tell everyone I talk to they need to get a cast iron skillet.

I cooked a whole chicken stuffed in my skillet . It actually cooked faster than I expected & came out perfect. Cleaning was easy I used hot water and a sponge. Which work fine for me. I luv this new skillet I will be using to cook more meats and veggies!!

Perfect. Out of habit, I still continued pre-seasoning process, farm raised bacon in oven at 425; in during pre-heat and cool-down time. First use fresh: farm eggs over easy: result excellent no stick. Second use: corn bread from fresh ground corn; again results excellent, no stick. By-the-way – never wash just wipe out.Corn Bread:1 ½ cup corn meal¾ cup flour1/8 cup (approx.) sugar½ tsp salt¼ tsp baking powder¼ tsp baking soda2 fresh eggs1 ½ cup buttermilk – add more till pourableSkillet in oven while pre-heating to 425Remove add ¼ cup bacon greaseWhen melted add corn bread mix25 min at 425 – remove when golden brownHardest part – allow to set 10-15 minutesBest part – slice, remove slice butter and honey, consume.

Honestly, I haven’t used it yet, but needed a larger cast iron skillet. We have some very old cast iron skillets from my husbands grandmother, but smaller sizes. Hopefully this one lasts as long as our old ones.

Bought a set of eco-friendly pots & pans on Amazon but the instructions said I couldn’t use them on a setting other than medium. I bought this as a low cost option and I love it. Cast iron requires special care so you don’t ruin the “seasoning” but it’s worth it based on how great food comes out.

This is a good way to start in the Cast Iron world. The pan is good quality, smoothly cast and not pitted. The pre-seasoning is effective. It cooked well and retained heat as expected. For the price and quality it can't be beat.

I've used this skillet numerous times since I purchased it and I couldn't be more pleased with it! I have been using the sous vide cooking method and use this skillet to brown the meat afterwards. It does a fantastic job and cleans up super easy! Another great find!

I had forgotten how heavy this skillet is in comparison to the thin ones that are popular today, but it's so much better than them since it holds heat better and doesn't warp at all. It also makes food taste so much better.

This cooks just as an old fashioned skillet would. I'd just suggest refraining from using harsh cleaning chemicals since that'll actually make food stick.

Cooking with cast iron is a completely different experience to cooking with metal skillets. It's definitely a bit different, and at times complicated, but it's worth it in the end since everything you make on it tastes so good.

This is a super device for you kitchen as it opens you a plenty of new possibilities.Have you ever tried to saute fresh vegetables with olive oil and vinegar? I haven't till I bought this cast iron skillet. Now it's real pleasure for me to sear, saute, fry, or grill. It helps to discover new aromas, new methods of cooking. It's great.
